Organised training programme on soil test based fertiliser recommendation to the farmers of adopted village of RARS, Warangal on 10-09-2020

RARS, Warangal conducted training programme on adoption of soil test based fertiliser recommendation in cotton at adopted village Seetarampuram Mdl. Damera of Warangal Rural district on 10-09-2020. Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research RARS, Warangal attended as chief guest to the programme and addressed the farmers on importance of soil test based fertilizer recommendation in cotton, chillies, Turmeric and paddy he further stressed that by adoption of soil test based fertilizer recommendations will result in economic benefits to the farmers and sustainable crop yields. Dr. B .Ram Prasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology) explained about the SPLAT technology to protect the cotton from pink boll worm and also said that micronutrients application will boost the yields of all crops. Dr. B Satish Chandra, Scientist (Plant Breeding) explained the measures to be taken in recoup the paddy crop damaged by heavy rains occurred recently and also explained the varieties suitable to Yasangi. Dr.Ch. Ramulu, Scientist (SSAC) explained about the adoption of soil test based fertilizer application in cotton crop and distributed the inputs to the FLD farmers. The programme is sponsored by Coromandal International Ltd. Around 40 number farmers were attended the training programme.
