Awareness and Demonstration of Machine transplanting at adopted village on 31-12-2020

Machine transplanting in paddy was demonstrated at adopted village, Veldhurthy on 31.12.2020. For practicing this technology the skills needed for raising of MAT nursery and also the care to be taken for preparation of Main field were explained to the farmers and demonstrated in the field. Keeping in view of labour shortage, the farmers adopting the technology expressed that transplanting by machine is saving time, energy and money. They said that, in the traditional system they would have to work hard to arrange farm labourers which is the major reason for switching over to the machine transplanting. The farmers who adopted the technology in kharif shared their success stories to the neighbouring farmers on monetary benefit they have accrued over machine transplanting and also the conditions of the field that made it free from pests and diseases. The farmers of the adopted village appreciated the technology and also expressed that they will definitely follow machine transplanting in the subsequent seasons. In this programme Smt.P. Sadvi, Scientist(Extension)& i/c village adoption, Dr.P. Madukar Rao, Scientist (Agronomy) and scientists under Rice sheme, Dr. B. Laxmi Prasanna, Sri.P. Gonya Nayak, Dr.P. Madukar, Harish , A.E.O, Burra Praveen goud, Sarpanch, progressive farmers, Men, women farmers and agricultural labourers were participated.
