Parthenium removal programme conducted at KVK, Kampasagar on 20-08-2020

Parthenium Awareness week was observed from 16th – 22nd August at KVK, Kampasagar. Dr.M.A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator briefed about bad effects of Parthenium causing respiratory and skin allergy health problems to human beings and live stock as well as loss of crop yield. In this connection, Parthenium weeds were removed around office building and shadenet house Demo Unit on 20.8.2020. All staff members both Scientists and non Teaching, field workers and Tribal farmers (20 No.) were actively participated to keep the premises clean and neat. Dr.T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) and Dr.M. Shankar, SMS (Plant Protection) cum Farm Superintendent made arrangements and organised the programme.
