PJTSAU 10th Foundation Day

Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on 3rd September, 2024 at the University Auditorium, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, Prof. B. Jagadeeswar Rao participated as Chief Guest of the program and delivered the Professor Jayashankar Commemorative Address on "Good quality education is the solution". He stated that PJTSAU is a jewel for the agriculture sector which is crucial for the state. He made it clear that education and knowledge are very sharp weapons with which all challenges can be solved. He called for coming out of the notion that education is just about classrooms and degrees, but described education as a very deep concept, hence teachers and students should focus on continuous learning to dream about a developed India. He further stated that advanced technologies like internet and artificial intelligence will rule the society in the next 100 years. He aspired that India should become No 1 nation in the world and felt that it is possible only in case of India as we nurture both artificial intelligence and natural intelligence. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU, Sri. M. Raghunandan Rao, IAS, APC & Principal Secretary of Govt. of Telangana, presided over the function and stated that PJTSAU has released 67 new varieties, including Telangana Sona and new colleges were set up as per the requirements. He informed that the new government formed in the state will implement several farmer-centric schemes, including loan waivers. He called upon all of the staff to rededicate to the services of the farmers. Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy, Director of Research and Registrar, PJTSAU delivered the welcome speech. On this occasion, awards were presented to the best farmers, teaching and non-teaching staff. Over 800 participants including University Officers, Former Vice Chancellors, Students, Faculty, and Farmers etc. participated in the program.
