Celebrations of 75th Independence Day at College Of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 15-08-2021

The 75th Independence Day was celebrated at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 15.08.2020. All the students, teaching, non-teaching and outsourcing staff were participated in the programme. The programme was started with the welcome address by Dr. R. Jayaprakash, Assistant Professor and Officer In-Charge of Student Activities, CFST, Rudrur. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, CFST, Rudrur, has leaded the session. The Associate Dean paid tributes to Mahathma Gandhiji, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and other freedom fighters and garlanded, followed by all the teaching, non-teaching and outsourcing staff of the college. After paying tributes, the Associate Dean of the college unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem and University song sung by all the participants. After paying tributes, the students, teaching, Non- teaching and out sourcing staff were given speech about 75th Independence Day and freedom fighters. The Associate Dean, CFST, Rudrur, has addressed the students about 75th Independence Day and the contributions of several freedom fighters in achieving the independence. He also explained the gathering, when everyone given their responsibilities sincerely automatically the country will prosper. Encouraged all the students and staff to work hard with commitment and unity for the growth of the institute and presented the surprise gifts to outsourcing staff, who did the work hard and smart in their duties. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. R. Jayaprakash, Assistant Professor and OISA, CFST, Rudrur and acknowledged the speakers and participants. All the precautionary measures like maintaining physical distance, wearing mask and sanitizing the hands were followed during the programme due to COVID 19 pandemic.
