Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has celebrated the 7th PJTSAU Foundation day, in grand manner and also conducted training programmes on Recent approaches in e- marketing in Agriculture and allied sectors, Honey Bee Rearing to the rural youth, awareness programme on Jalashakthi Abhiyan and distribution of mini flour mill machines under TSP on 3rd September, 2021. on the eve of 7th University Foundation day KVK, Mancherial felicitated a progressive farmer awardee named "Embadi Padma" of Komatichenu village, Kasipet mandal, Mancherial district by honoring for successful efforts made by her in Agriculture and Horticulture sectors by following new method of farming through Polyhouse, Drip, Mulching, Staking specially organic farming etc. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) has addressed the farmers about the agricultural marketing, the challenges of modern agricultural production system, formation of FPO’s, Broad Services and activities to be undertaken by FPOs, important steps to honey bee rearing keeping in view of doubling the farmers income in agriculture and allied sectors. Dr.Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) explained about recent approaches in e- marketing in agriculture and allied sectors, FPO Scheme guidelines. Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection), explained about planning of commercial honeybee farming and its profits. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production), explained the objectives of Jal Shakti Abhiyan and different methods. Smt. U.Sravanthi SMS (Horticulture) explained the farmers about importance of nutri gardens at home backyards. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status and rainfall forecast in the aspirational districts (Mancherial and Kumrumbheem Asifabad) and also addressed the farmers on measures to be taken during the thunder storms etc. Further all the farmers visited to see KVK, Mancherial instructional farm demo’s Urban Nutri-Garden Model, Intercropping of Red gram with Green gram, Fodder crop, Intercropping of Red gram with Sorghum, Dry Direct Seeded Rice with Seed Dril (KNM -118), Direct Seeded Rice with Drum Seeder (KNM -118), Dry direct broadcasted Rice seed, Alleyways in Rice Field and Fish Farm Pond. Lastly, under TSP, a total of 4 tribal farmer groups belong to the villages of Pangidi madara, Markaguda, Bheemjiguda and Mandaguda of Tiryani mandal of KB Asifabad district. were distributed with mini flour mill machines. For this programme Sri. R. Srinivas Rao, DAO, KB Asifabad, Sri. Kesava Rao, MPTC and Smt. Radha Bhai, Ex- Sarpanch, Pangidimadara, Tiryani, KB Asifabad 69 (63-Male and 6- Female) number of farmers were participated.
