Agricultural Research Station, Madhira celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15th August, 2023. Dr. K.Rukmini Devi,Principal Scientist & Headhas garlanded the portraits of freedom fighters, paid floral tributes and hoisted the national flag.She addressed the gathering and spoken that India became an independent country on 15th August in 1947 with sacrifices of thousands of freedom fighters who worked hard to get India Independent from the British. On the occasion of completion of 77 years of independence, she told how india is progressed in agriculture, technology and finance in the past 76 years. In agriculture, India reached self-sufficiency in food grains and even exporting few commodities to the world but need to improve on pulses and oilseeds production. Dr.T.Bharath, Scientist (Agronomy) said that by remembering the great sacrifices of freedom fighters, we should maintain the spirit of brotherhood, peace and contribute to the glory of our country. All teaching, non-teaching, out sourcing staff and students of Agricultural Polytechnic participated in the celebrations.
