On 05.11.2024, the Associate Director of Research (ADR), RARS Jagitial, visited KVK Adilabad to assess the progress of various ongoing trials. During the visit, the ADR interacted with the Program Coordinator, Subject Matter Specialists, and farmers to review the status of Kharif 2024-25 OFTs, FLDs, and training programs, as well as the Rabi action plan for 2024-25. The ADR also visited the adopted village of Sakinapoor in Talamadugu Mandal, where he engaged with farmers and observed demonstrations on Cotton + Red gram, raised bed cotton cultivation, and assessed the performance of these practices on farmers fields. Additionally, he visited the Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) established by KVK Adilabad, discussing its operational model, financial services, and the availability of farm inputs and mechanization solutions for various farm operations. The ADR also explored the multipurpose flour mill for millet value addition and domestic consumption. He appealed to the farmers for expansion of these technologies for the broader benefit of farmers in the village and surrounding areas.
