AINP on VPM- Method demonstration cum inputs distribution to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub plan (TSP) on 24.11.2022

Professor Jayashankar Telangana state Agricultural University under All India Network Project on Vertebrate Pest Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad organized method demonstration cum inputs distribution to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub plan (TSP) at Society thanda & Mangya thandas of Nellikuduru mandal of Mahabubabad district on 24.11.2022. The main motto of this program is to create awareness among the farming community about the Monkeys & wild boar damage and their management. In this program Dr. V. Ravinder Reddy (PS & Head) briefed about the monkeys, wild boar management in different crops. Suggested to farmers follow the integrated approach to tackle the wild boar & monkeys menace in field and horticultural crops. Dr. V. Sunitha (Scientist) demonstrated the usage of solar based fencing, solar based bioacoustics and Agri-canon guns. After that discussed about the ways and means to overcome the monkey’s problem in villages. Mr. M. Rajashekhar (Scientist) spoke about the pest & disease management and preparedness for Rabi crops. After that distributed Solar fencing (2), Bioacoustics (1), agri-canon guns (7), brochures and pamphlets to all the farmers. In this program Dr. Bhaskar (Scientist, HRS), Ravi daravath (Sarpanch) and a total of 22 farmers have participated.
