Agricultural Research Station, DAATTC, Karimnagar and RAWEP students organized Rythu Sadassu and Agricultural Exhibition and Farmers Scientists Interaction on 08-06-2022 at Rythuvedika, Boinpalli Mandal of Rajanna Siricilla District. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) & Coordinator welcomed dignitaries on to the dias and also welcomed the farmers to the programme. He has briefed about the main essence of the programme. Dr. G. Manulatha, Principal Scientist & Head, ARS, Karimnagar has explained about the importance of RAWEP programme its objectives and activities taken up in the allotted villages and also explained the importance of Crop Diversification and the details of alternate crops to Paddy. Dr. I. Aruna Sri, Scientist (Ento.) has explained about the management of Birds, Monkeys, Wild boars in the crops by using the eco devices and also showed the demo on Agri Canon, Electric Canon and Solar fencing with the help of Gamyam technologies, Hyderabad. Dr. P. Madhukar Rao, Scientist (Agro.) has explained about the HDPS in Cotton & method of Rice cultivation. Later Dr. G. Usharani, Scientist (Pl.Br.) has given information on speciality corns in Maize. Then Dr. D. Sravani has briefed about the hybrid seed production in Maize & Rice. Dr. M. Rajendraprasad, Scientist (CP) has explained the management of pest & diseases in major crops. Then Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) has briefed about the PJTSAU publications & Mobile apps for the benefit of farming community. He also emphasized farmers to get subscribe PJTSAU You Tube channel for latest updates in agriculture technologies. He said that farmers can contact directly with the Toll free number 14426 or 1800 123 2175 for obtaining information on activities related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animalhusbandry and fisheries. The chief guest of the Programme, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Polasa, Dr. M. Uma Devi has insisted the farmers to utilize the PJTSA University services & technologies. Further emphasized on the importance of Soil Health Management and encouraged the farmers for soil testing and briefed the farmers on Integrated Crop Management to get higher yields in view of ensuing Vanakalam, 2022. Later the soil health cards are distributed to the farmers and one of the progressive farmers Sri. Ramaraju gaaru of Venkatraopalli village purchased the Agri. Canon Monkey scarer gun and donated to the village sarpanch for monkey menace problem. MPP-Sri. P. Venugopal, Vice MPP – Sri. Nagaiah, ZPTC – Smt. Uma Kondaiah, MPTC – Smt. Buchaama Laxmirajam, Smt. Shireesha Madhukar, Sri. Upender, MRSS Coordinator- Sri. Lachireddy, Cess Director-Sri. Mallesham, Sarpanch, Boinapalli – Smt. Latha Shankar, Sarpanch, Thadagonda-Sri. Ramesh, Sarpanch, Venkatraopalli-Sri.Nandaiah, Sarpanch, Nagulamalyala-Sri. Nayini Prasad, Village Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Coordinator-Sri. Srinivas Reddy, Progressive farmers Sri. Laxmipathi, Venkatreddy and 150 farmers and 20 RAWEP Students were participated in the programme.
