Phone in Live and Webinar on Balanced Use of Fertilizers in Vanakalam Crops in collaboration with Enaadu and Reliance foundation on 23-6-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized Phone in Live and Webinar on Balanced Use of Fertilizers in Vanakalam Crops in a collaboration with Enaadu and Reliance foundation on 23rd June, 2021. A total of 50 numbers of farmers in Phone in Live and 50 Number of farmers in webinar participated from different villages of Mancherial and Kumrumbheem Asifabad (Aspirational) Districts and clarified the doubts with the experts of KVK, Bellampalli. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist (Soil Science) & Programme Coordinator, has addressed the farmers about the necessity of soil testing before going to the cultivation of crops. He explained different aspects in kharif crops like, suitable varieties, seed treatments in different crops, sowing times, balanced use of fertilizers, importance of inter cropping in cotton with pulse crops and importance of bio fertilizers in agriculture in present scenario. Further, Dr. Shiva Krishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) coated about importance of farmer producer organisations in present economical and social scenario. He explained about benefits and government credit supports to the FPO’s. Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection) addressed the farmers about the pest and disease management in major vanakalam crops and the way to prevent the adverse conditions. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) created awareness among the farmers about weed management in cotton crop. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status in the aspirational districts (Mancherial and Kumrumbheem Asifabad), explained the importance of judicial use of water resources and different methods to utilize the available water resources efficiently and sustainably.
