EEI, Hyderabad organized online collaborative Training Programme with MANAGE on “Project Management in Agriculture” from 23 - 27th August, 2022

Owing to the importance of project formulation, implementation, EEI could synergize time, treasure, talent and materialize to conduct a five day online collaborative training with MANAGE from 23rd – 27th August, 2022 to PAN India extension officers of agriculture and allied sectors. The trainees were amalgamation of officers from government, non-government and corporate sectors. About 70 participants were the beneficiaries of the programme. Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI knitted the design of the programme and enabled Dr. A. Sailaja, Professor, EEI and Dr. P. Kanaka Durga, Assistant Director, MANAGE who were coordinators of the programme from EEI and MANAGE respectively. The plethora of topics covered in the programme were delivered by EEI faculty, ICAR faculty and NGO sector also. In this inaugural address Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director EEI visualized that it is a high time for all the employees to reengineer their job chart and work with professionalism in project mode in structured stipulated enabling environment. He envisaged that quality circles gain their emphasis much in the present times for productive contribution. The galaxy of topics covered were Introduction to Project and Project Life Cycle, Strategic Management and Project Selection, Generation and Screening of Project Ideas, Project Identification and Preparation of Project Proposal, Financial Estimates and Projections, Measuring Project Profitability, Social Cost Benefit Analysis, Market and Demand Analysis, Conflict and Negotiation in Project Management, Project Cash Flow and Project Management Software, Work Break Down Structure, PERT, CPM and Time Estimation, Sensitization of Government of India Programmes, Lessons Learnt from My Journey in Managing Teams. The trainees expressed the relevance of the programme to their working situations. In his valedictory address Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI envisaged the need for partnership, convergence of the organizations to achieve self reliance. He envisioned that multi dimensional, multifaceted approach is the indispensible.
