Guest Lecture on “Awareness and measures to Curb Cyber Crime against Women” organized by Women Protection Cell, College of Agriculture Rajendranagar on 24.11.2022 under ICAR SC Subplan

A guest lecture on “Awareness and measures to Curb Cyber Crime against Women” was organized by Women Protection Cell, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad under ICAR SC Sub Plan on 24.11.2022 at 3.30 P.M in the College Auditorium, College of Agriculture Rajendranagar. At the outset Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha, Member Women Protection Cell, College of Agriculture Rajendranagar welcomed, Dr. Seema, Dean of Agriculture, Guest Speaker Smt. Basani Shwetha, Women Sub Inspector of Police, Rajendranagar, Police Station, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, and Dr.K.B.Eswari, In-charge SC-ST Cell College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar on to the dias. Dr. Seema, Dean of Agriculture addressed the participants and appreciated the Women Protection Cell, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar for organizing the lecture on most important topic and need of the hour. Around 200 girl students across B.Sc (Hons.) Ag III, IV year, M.Sc and Ph.D’s attended the programme. The speaker Smt. Basani Shwetha, Women Sub Inspector of Police sensitized the participants regarding various types of cyber crimes against women with live examples witnessed by her during discharging duties and also stressed upon measures and care to be taken to avoid cyber crime. She emphasized the participants about various apps (do’s and donts’) and counseled them to be goal oriented and stressed upon the importance of family, family support apart from moral values and ethics in life. She assured support of Women police round the clock in case of any legal issues. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. S. Triveni, Member Women Protection Cell, College of Agriculture Rajendranagar.
