International day of yoga was celebrated on 21st June 2022 by NSS unit of Agricultural College, Warangal with active participation of NSS volunteers along with the teaching staff and non-teaching staff. The event was started by NSS Programme Officer Er.M.Srinivasulu by introducing the yoga Instructor Mr. Nagireddy, Physical director and Certified Yoga Trainer. He started the event by quoting that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition which embodies unity of mind and body. He had involved in various elements of yoga and how NSS volunteers can eliminate physical and mental stress by practicing Yoga. Further, he stressed the importance of meditation and pranayama to improve memory, clarity of thought and concentration to the NSS volunteers and he has demonstrated and made NSS volunteers and teaching staff to practice the most important breathing exercises like Pranayama which increases the positive energy level in the body and removes toxins followed by Nadi shodhan pranayama which reduces stress and anxiety. The celebration concluded with a speech by Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean of Agricultural College, Warangal, thanked the yoga Instructor Mr. Nagireddy, Physical director and Certified Yoga Trainer, at the event and explained that regular yoga practice leads to better mental, physical and intellectual health which positively changes lifestyle and increases the level of well-being. Further he appreciated the NSS volunteers, Teaching and non-teaching faculties those who are participated in the event.
