Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar has organized Zoom Training cum Aawareness Programme on Direct seeded technologies in Rice for Agricultural Officials of Nalgonda district on 8th June, 2021. Dr. Ch. Damodara Raju, Associate Director of Research, Palem addressed the farmers about Direct Seeded Technologies and its important and created awareness on different Rice varieties recommending for Nalgonda district. Sridhar Reddy, District Agriculture Officer, Nalgonda explained about farmer success story of drum seeder technology and its impact on up scaling. Later, Dr. Shankaraiah, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kampasagar explained about advantages and problems of different rice methods viz. Drum seeder, Seed cum ferti drill and broadcasting. Dr.T.Bharath, Scientist (Crop Production) Created awareness through PowerPoint presentation on direct seeded technologies (dry seeding and wet seeding). This technology saves labour, less water, less drudgery, early crop maturity, low production cost. These technologies consider as climate resilient (less methane emission). Later farmers Sk. Basha (Seed cum Ferti Drill) and Srinivas Reddy (Broadcasting) also interacted with Officials. In this Zoom meeting scientists Dr.M.Shankar, T.Himabindu, S.Pallavi, A.Saikiran and 60 No. of Agriculture officials ADAs,AOs,AEOs from Nalgonda district were participated.
