Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar has organized Training Programme on Integrated Approach for Profitable Maize Production and Input Distribution to the SC farmers under SC Sub Plan of All India Coordinated Research Project on Maize and also as a part of the celebration of 75 years of Independence “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” at Adopted Village, Perkapally and adjoining village farmers of Gollagudem and Venkepally of Saidapur Mandal. Dr. G.Usharani, Scientist (Pl.Br.) has welcomed the dignitaries and farmers to the programme. Dr. G.Manjulatha, Principal Scientist and Head, presided over the meeting and emphasized the major mandate of the research station and its services to the farmers along with the recent technologies for profitable maize production for the benefit of farmers. Dr.D.Sravani, Scientist (Pl.Br.) has detailed the farmers regarding the motto behind the input distribution of sprayers and hand weeders as development and upliftment of the SC farmers in their agricultural aspects under the SC Sub Plan of All India Coordinated Research Project on Maize. Later, 30 Sprayers and 30 Hand Weeders were distributed to the farmers. The Mandal Agricultural Officer Smt. Vaidehi sensitized the farmers to follow the recent technologies imparted by the scientists for reaping better yields. The Upasarpanch, Sri. P.Srinivas, Agricultural Extension Officer, Sri. Katam Raju, farmer ambassadors and around 70 farmers participated in the programme following the covid guidelines under this pandemic situation.
