Virtual Training programme on Water conservation technologies under Jala Shakthi Abhiyan by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nizamabad (Rudrur) on 24-06-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized Multi-location Audio Conference on Paddy Nursery Preparation and Management Practices in collaboration with Reliance foundation in a collaboration with Reliance foundation on 24th June, 2021. A total of 57 numbers of farmers in audio conference participated from Kagaznagar Mandal (Areguda) and Dhegaon Mandal (Konchavelli, Vodduguda) of Komarambheem Asifabad District and Bellampalle Mandal (Akenepalle, Cherlapalle, China Budhe, Gurijala, Janakapoor, Perkapalle), Kasipet Mandal (Kasipet) and Vemanapalle Mandal (Vemanapalle) of Mancherial District. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist (Soil Science) & Programme Coordinator, has addressed the farmers about management practices and precautions in paddy nursery preparation, importance of rice direct seeding, different sowing methods of direct seeding like broadcasting and seed drill methods and the necessity of direct seeding of rice instead of traditional method of rice cultivation to overcome the labour shortage. Further, Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) clarified the queries of farmers regarding different aspects like, selection of suitable varieties, seed treatment in different crops, sowing time, balanced use of fertilizers and importance of bio fertilizers. Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection) addressed the farmers about the pest and disease management in major vanakalam crops and the way to prevent the adverse conditions. For this programme Dr. Shiva Krishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension), Dr. B. Sathish Kumar, SMS (Agrometeorology), Sri. Veerabhdram Representative (Reliance Foundation) and Sri. Jayawardhan, Coordinator (Reliance Foundation) were participated.
