Patent has been granted for the development of a ‘multi-layered protective gear’ to protect the wearer from intense heat, hot oil and water spillages and other hazards associated with cooking in large scale commercial kitchens. This technology ensures safety standards in Hospitality industries, ensuring enhanced protection for cooks working in challenging environments. This was formulated by Dr.E.Shirin Hima Bindu working as Scientist (FRM) in AICRP-Women in Agriculture, PG & RC, PJTSAU as part of her Ph.D. research work in Department of Resource Management and Consumer Sciences, College of Community Science, PJTSAU under the guidance of Dr.Mahalakshmi V.Reddy, Professor (Retd.), Chairman of Advisory committee and other committee members include Dr.D.Ratna Kumari Professor (Retd.) PJTSAU and Dr. D. Anita Professor (Retd.) ANGRAU. Upon receiving the Patent right for Protective Gear, Dr.E.Shirin Hima Bindu and the Advisory Committee members were congratulated by Dr.M.Venkata Ramana Registrar, PJTSAU, Dr P. Raghu Rami Reddy, Director of Research, PJTSAU and Dr.V.Vijaya Lakshmi, Dean, Faculty of Community Science.
