Live Webcasting of PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 and Kisan Mela at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial on 17 th October, 2022

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District organized a Kisan Mela and Live webcasting of Honourable Prime Minister of India Sri. Narendra Modi at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi as a part of "Pradhana Mantri Kisan Samman Sammelan on 17th October, 2022. On this occasion, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Bellampalli enlighted the release of the 12th instalment amount of Rs. 16,000 crores under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) through Direct Benefit Transfer and also about the inauguration of the Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition. He also addressed the farmers on adopt technology-based modern farming techniques and also boosting of scientific methods in agriculture and maximum use of technology.Later the chief guest of the programme, Dr. G. Srinivas, Associate Director of Research, R.A.R.S., Polasa, Jagtial enlighted the convertion and inauguration of fertilizer retail shops into Pradan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSK) under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers to cater a wide variety of needs of the farmers and provide agri-inputs (fertilizers, seeds, implements); testing facilities for soil, seeds, fertilizers and also created awareness about the Bhartiya Jan Urvarak Pariyojana - One Nation One Fertilizer which will help companies market fertilizers under the single brand name “Bharat". Further, Dr. Kiran Reddy, Scientist, AICRP, IFS addressed the farmers about the Integrated Farming System to generate employment and income. As a part of this programme, KVK, Bellampalli also distributed 99 kgs of Jowar (CSV 29 R) to 33 PVGT Farmers under project “Empowerment of rural farmers of Mancherial and Komuram Bheem Asifabad Districts through Promotion and Adoption of High Yielding Varieties”, followed by 400 kg of Bengalgram (NBeG 3 and NBeG 452) seed to 32 No. of tribal farmers and 180 kg of Jowar (SVT 68, NTJ 5 and CSV 29 R) seed to 60 No. of tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan for the year 2022-23; 25 Units of Profenophos 50 EC (500ml each) and Diafenthiuron 50 WP (250gm each) to 25 No. of farmers under Project on IRM: Dissemination of Pink Boll Worm Management Strategies during the kharif, 2022-23 and 31.20 quintals of Kadiri Lepakshi 1812 groundnut seed distributed to 39 No. of farmers under CFLD (oilseeds) for rabi, 2022-23 season.
