KVK, Palem organized Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Sammelan on 17.10.2022 at RARS Auditorium

KVK, Palem organized Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Sammelan and Live Webcasting of Honorable Prime Minister message on 17.10.2022 at RARS Auditorium for the benefit of farming community. Honorable Prime Minister virtually addressed the farmers and released 12th Installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi financial benefit to farmers. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem interacted with farmers and briefed about PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) and PM Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSK) schemes to cater to a wide variety of needs of the farmers and also stressed about inauguration the Agri Startup Conclave. Dr.M.Sujatha (PS-Oilseeds) briefed about oilseed crops suitable for Yasangi season and stressed about best management practices in groundnut. Dr.P.Pushpavathi (Associate Dean, AGC, Palem) stressed on the selection of pest & disease resistance varieties, seed & soil treatment to reduce the seed & soil-borne diseases in groundnut. RARS staff, Dr. V.Ram Reddy (Scientist, Plant Breeding), Dr. S.Maheswaramma (Scientist, Plant Breeding), Dr. K.Sreedhar (Scientist, Agronomy), Dr. M. Parimal Kumar (Scientist, Agronomy) presented on the best management practices in different crops. In this programme, Dr. Ramakrishna Babu (Coordinator, DAATTC, Palem), Mr.M.. Rajashekhar, SMS (Plant Protection), K. Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production), Dr. Adi Shankar (SMS, Horticulture), Dr. Afifa Jahan (SMS, Home Science) Mr. Shiva (Ao tech) and 306 farmers were attended.
