Hon’ble PM’s live webcast programme on PM Kisan Samman Nidhi & Farmers Scientist interaction at KVK, Malyal on 31-05-2022

KVK, Malyal organized “Hon’ble PM’s live webcast programme on PM Kisan Samman Nidhi & Farmers Scientist interaction” at KVK, Malyal premises on 31-05-2022. The programme started with inauguration, visit to stall exhibited by KVK, Malyal, HRS, Malyal and Exhibition of films on various schemes in Telugu followed by live webcasting speech of Sri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister on PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, Programme Coordinator i/c, KVK, Malyal explained the objectives of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and other central government schemes. Sri B. Chatru Naik, DAO, Mahabubabad district acted as Chief Guest for the programme and suggested the farmers to update eKYC as early as possible for getting benefits under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Also, he suggested to utilize the subsidies by Agriculture Department for green manure crops to be incorporated before Paddy and Chilli crops for enhancing soil nutrition levels. Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (P.P.) explained about dry direct seeded Rice, HDPS Cotton, utilization of PSB incorporation and split application of balanced fertilizers. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Hort.) also explained about integrated management practices in Chilli as well as measures to be taken while purchasing seed. He also explained about importance of seed treatment in Turmeric and measures to be taken in Mango garden after harvesting of Mango fruits. Sri Laxminarayana, ADA, Mahabubabad spoke about the importance of crop diversification for getting higher returns instead of mono cropping and use of green manure crops for betterment of soil health condition. Sri Vishnu, HO, Mahabubabad explained about subsidy pattern for Oil palm cultivation in Telangana state. Later, the experts answered the queries raised by the farmers. In this programme, KVK Scientist Smt. D. Usha Sri, SMS (Agromet), Smt. Sindhuja, Scientist (Hort.), HRS, Malyal, Sri K. Shobhan Babu, ADA, Maripeda, 6 no.of MAOs, 21 no.of AEOs, public representatives Sri SK. Mahaboob Pasha, ZP Co-option member, Mahabubabad, Smt. A. Kumari, Sarpanch, Malyal and 472 no.of farmers participated.
