CELEBRATION OF BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF ACHARYA KOTHAPALLI JAYASHANKAR AT COLLEGE OF FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, RUDRUR ON 06-08-2021

As per the instructions issued by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University vide Cir. Memo No. 7637/SC/A1/2021 dated: 20.07.2021 of the Registrar, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, 88th Birth anniversary of Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar was celebrated at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 06.08.2021 at 12:00 Noon. The Associate Dean, teaching, non-teaching, and outsourcing staff were participated in the event. The programme was started with welcoming by Dr. R. Jayaprakash, Officer In-Charge of Student Activities. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, College of Food Science & Technology, Rudrur, headed the programme. The Associate Dean paid tributes to Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar and garlanded the image, followed by all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. After paying tributes, the teaching staff, Non- teaching staff and out sourcing staff were given speech about Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar. The Associate Dean, CFST, Rudrur, has spoken over the occasion and addresses the role of Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar in achieving Telangana State. He also explained about Jayashankar Sir’s education, various positions held, and also his commitment and selfless fight towards separate Telangana. The changes that were brought due to the separation of the state, especially with regard to employment to the local people and improvement in irrigation facilities were highlighted. He encouraged all the staff to be responsible for each and every activity and work with commitment for the growth of the institute.The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. R. Jayaprakash, Assistant Professor and OISA, CFST, Rudrur and then followed by serving of refreshments to the participants. All the precautionary measures like maintaining physical distance, wearing mask and sanitizing the hands were followed during the programme due to COVID 19 pandemic.
