Celebration of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar Jayanthi at RARS, Palem on 06-08-2021

Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar Sir’s Jayanthi was celebrated at Regional Agricultural Research station, Palem on 6th August, 2021 to commemorate the 88th birth anniversary of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar. Teaching staff, Dr. Ch. Damodar Raju, The Associate Director Research, STZ, Dr. M. Sujatha PS (Oilseeds), DR. Ramakrishna Babu, Coordinator, DAATTC, Teaching and non teaching staff of RARS and DAATTC were participated in the celebrations by following measures like social distancing, using of masks. The programme was started with garlanding the photo of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar by Dr. Ch. Damodar Raju, ADR and Dr. M. Sujatha PS (Oilseeds), floral tributes by all other teaching and non teaching staff of RARS. While addressing the Teaching and Non-teaching staff of RARS, Palem, ADR expressed about Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar contributions to the Telangana state formation and Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) named in honor and memory of Professor Jayashankar. Dr. M. Sujatha PS (Oilseeds) has detailed about Prof. Jayashankar and his role in Telangana Movement and she also emphasized that, he was former Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University. Dr. M. Sujatha PS (Oilseeds) also told that, achieving the state is not the end and every one in their respective capabilities should deliver their duties to strengthen the state in all aspects. Further, highlighted that all the staff should work hard and deliver their contributions for the better livelihood of farming community in the state. Coordinator, DAATTC also expressed about contributions of Prof. Jayashankar towards the Telangana State formation. Later Non-Teaching staff also expressed about Prof. Jayashankar and his role in Telangana movement.
