Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar’s 13th Death Anniversary was commemorated on 21.06.2024 at Agricultural College, Adilabad. At the outset, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan, Associate Dean garlanded and paid floral tributes to the Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar’s portrait. Later the teaching, non-teaching staff and students offered floral tributes. Later Dr.Sreedhar Chauhan, Associate Dean addressed the gathering that highlighted the about tireless champion’s fight towards the formation of separate Telangana State till his last breath. In this programme OISA of this college Dr. M. Suresh, Assistant Professor (Soil Science), briefed about Sri Jayashankar’s education, various positions held apart from the commitment and selfless efforts towards achieving separate Telangana State. It also emphasised about the developments brought after formation Telangana state, with special regards to employment opportunities and improvement in irrigation facilities. The Teaching staff in their address to students focussed on the need of work hard and to follow the guidelines of Professor Jayashankar to bring laurels by their successful achievements to the Agricultural institute named after the legend, Sri Professor Jayashankar. It was followed brief views expressed by two girl students (M. Srilatha and R. Vishnavai) about the inspiring incidences during childhood of Professor Jayshankar apart from the significant contributions and sacrifices of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar towards formation of separate Telangana state. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Dr. M. Suresh, OISA.
