- Regional Agricultural Research Station, Polasa, Jagtial organized awareness programme on Identification of problems in village through Participatory Rural Appraisal technique to farmers at Rythuvedika, Allipoor, Raikal (M), Jagtial (D) on 17.08.23.
- Dr. D. A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics) & In-charge of adopted village briefed about the importance of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) technique as it helps in identifying the resources, socio-economic conditions, major events occurred and problems in the village.
- Later, village officials, Agriculture Dept. officials, Gram panchayat officials, farmers and the students of APT, Jagtial involved in exploratory walk in the village and collected the information.
- Later, in Rythuvedika developed village map after thorough discussions with all stakeholders and the same was depicted by techniques like village resource and social map, venn diagram, timeline, matrix ranking and preference ranking.
- Farmers got knowledge on events occurred in the village in chronological order, resources available and major varieties cultivated etc.
- After that interaction meeting was conducted for identifying solutions for the problems identified in preference ranking technique.
- In this programme, Dr. D. A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics), i/c of adopted village, P. Sumalatha, A.E.O., Sri. Venkateshwarlu, MPTC, Sri. P. Satyam, RBS coordinator and nearly 32 farmers were participated.
