Demonstration of Dry Direct seeding in Paddy at Adopted village, Veldhurthy by RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 11-06-2021

Regional Agricultural research station, Polasa, Jagtial conducted demonstration on dry direct seeding in paddy with seed cum ferti drill in an area of 5 acres at adopted village. Smt.P.Sadvi, adopted village i/C motivated the farmers to adopt the technology and organized the demonstration. Dr. P. Revathi created awareness on various aspects i.e weed management, water management in paddy dry direct seeding. Preperation of the land is by ploughing with Tractor drawn cultivator and rotavator and then sowing done with seed cum ferti drill. The seed used for the purpose was KNM 1638. Fertilizers i.e. 50 kg of DAP and 25 kg of MOP were applied also applied with seed cum fertile drill . The objective of the demonstration was to reduce the cost of cultivation and overcome labour shortage in paddy. In this program comittee members of village adoption Dr. P. Madhukar Rao, Dr. P. Madukar , Dr. N. Balram, Dr. A. Krishna Chaitanya , Burra Praveen goud, Sarpanch adopted village and a total of 20 farmers have participated.
