Celebration of World Pulses Day at Adopted village, Veldhurthy by RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 10-02-2021

World Pulses Day celebrated at adopted village , Veldhurthy on 10.02.2021 by the adopted village committee of RARS, Jagtial. The programme was organized by Village adoption convenor, Smt.P. Sadvi. On this occasion awareness was created on nutritional, environmental, soil health benefits of pulses to the farmers. Advised the farmers to establish a processing plant for earning the additional income through value addition of pulses. Awareness was also created on Intercropping, management practices, short duration pests and disease resistant varieties of various pulse crops. The interested farmers came forward to take up the summer pulse crops. On this event, farmers adopting the latest technologies in various crops were felicitated. For enhancing nutritional affordability to farm families and earn additional income vegetable seeds were distributed for encouraging kitchen gardening. Later diagnostic field visit was conducted in Paddy fields, observed zinc deficiency and recommended correction measures . In this programme, Village adoption Convenor Smt.P.
