Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu, celebrations at RARS, Warangal on 2.06.2023

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal organized Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu on 2.06.2023 by illuminating the buildings, tying of mango leaves /coconut leaves tornalu and marigold flowers elaborately and colorful rangolis were laid highlighting the dashabdi logo and culture and art forms of Telangana. Four to five banners were placed havinglogos of the Government of Telangana, Dashabdi logo and logo of the University.The National flag was hosted in the morning at 9.30 AM followed by National Anthem, Telangana song (Jaya jaya e Telangana....) and follows Universitysong.The programme was conducted in the seminar hall at RARS, Warangal which was chaired by Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal, Dr. B. Dilipkumar, DAATTC Coordinator, Warangal, Smt. LalithaYadav, member of Raithu Samanvaya Samiti, Shri. A.V. Shiv Kumar, Administrative officer and Shri. Ravinder, Assistant comptroller. Competitions were conducted for speech and singing for teaching and non teaching staff. The speakers spoke about the development of Agriculture in Telangana and emotions and pride of Telangana State and about the government schemes in the state for farmers. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal spoke about the development of university since the formation of Telangana state, number of varieties developed, number of technologies developed and popularized among the farming community, increase of agriculture colleges, development of startups and infrastructural facilities in the university. He also emphasized that at present Telangana is self-sufficient in the production of seed of different varieties.Smt. LalithaYadav appreciated university for developing varieties and making them available to the farmers. She also requested to give suggestions to the farmers during the crop growth period to get higher yields. At the end of the programme, prizes were given to the winners of elocution and other competitions etc.As a part of “Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu” Dr. R. Uma Reddy, Associated Director of Research, RARS, Warangal participated and deputed scientists to various Rythu vedikas across the district on 03-06-2023. The scientists of RARS, Warangal attended Raithu dinotsavam at different Raithu Vedikas of the district and spoke about the achievements of the university during this 9 years and number of varieties developed, number of technologies developed and popularized among the farming community, increase of agriculture colleges, development of startups and infrastructural facilities in the university.The Village Adoption team along with Scientists visited the adopted village Meedhikonda, Station Ghanpur mandal. A meeting was conducted. State schemes and programmes and the benefits rendered to the farming community during last 9 years in the state were emphasized. On the occasion of Raithu dinotsavam, progressive farmers of the district were felicitated by Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal.
