Celebration of “Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu at RARS, Warangal on 02.06.2023

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal celebrated Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu on 02.06.2023 by illuminating the buildings, tying of mango leaves /coconut leaves tornalu and marigold flowers elaborately and colorful rangolis were laid highlighting the dashabdi logo, culture and art forms of Telangana. Further, five flex banners having logos of the Government of Telangana, Dashabdi logo and logo of the University were placed randomly within the premises of the station. The National flag was hosted by Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal in the morning at 9.30 AM followed by played National Anthem, Telangana song (Jaya jaya e Telangana….) and University song.Following programme was continued in the seminar hall, RARS, Warangal which was chaired by Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal, Dr. B. Dilip kumar, DAATTC Coordinator, Warangal, Smt. Lalitha Yadav, district coordinator of Rythu Samanvaya Samiti (RSS), Shri. A.V. Shiv Kumar, Administrative officer and Shri. Ravinder, Assistant comptroller. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal spoke about the development of university since the formation of Telangana state, varieties & technologies developed and popularized among the farming community, increase of agriculture colleges, development of startups and infrastructural facilities in the university. He also emphasized that at present Telangana is self-sufficient in the production of seed of different varieties. Smt. Lalitha Yadav appreciated university for developing varieties and making them available to the farmers. She also requested to give suggestions to the farmers during the crop growth period to get higher yields. Later, competitions of elocution and singing were organized among teaching and non-teaching staff on the topic “Development of Agriculture in Telangana, triggering emotions and pride of Telangana State. At the end of the programme, prizes were given to the winners of elocution and singing competitions.
