RARS, Warangal, Cotton section conducted Training Programme on “Better management practices in Cotton” under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SC SP) Project, 2022-23 on 01-04-2023

RARS, Warangal, Cotton section conducted Training Programme on “Better management practices in Cotton” under SC SP Project at Meedhikonda village of Station ghanpur Mandal, Jangoan District on 01-04-2023. During the training programme Dr. B. Ram Prasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology) explained about the project and created awareness on sucking pest & pink boll worm management in cotton; Dr. B. Anil Kumar, Co-ordinator DAATTC, Yadadri Bhongir explained about pest and disease management in different crops, he also explained about negative impacts of sowing rabi cotton, Dr.Y.Prashanth, Scientist (Plant Breeding) created awareness on HDPS cotton management practices, suitable varieties and hybrids for HDPS cotton system, Smt. D. Ashwini, Scientist (Plant Pathology) spoken about disease management in cotton and Smt.B. Madavi, Scientist (Agronomy) explained about weed and fertilizer management in cotton. In this programme, Smt. N. Manemma, Sarpanch, Meedhikonda, Sri. K. Chandan Kumar, MAO, Sri. K. Narahari, RSS, Coordinator, Sri. Venkateshwarlu, Deshpande Foundation team manager and 120 farmers from Meedhikonda Village have participated. In the part of project identified 100 number Scheduled Caste beneficiary farmers and distributed Inputs (Profenophos, Copper oxychloride, Multi K, blue and white sticky traps).
