RAWEP students from KVK, Malyal organized a Rythusadassu and Agricultural exhibition at Boddugonda of Gudur Mandal, Mahabubabad district on 01-11-2023. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal as the chief guest & Dr.M.Balaram, Associate Dean, Agricultural college, Warangal as the special guest of the programme, inaugurated the exhibition stalls prepared by RAWEP students on “IPM in chilli and Rice, crop diversification, Integrated farming system, mulching, micro irrigation, Vermicompost, crop residue management, vertebrate pest management, etc”. The guests keenly listened to the explanation given on different exhibits and their importance by the students. Dr.N.Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), explained RAWEP Programme objectives and work carried by RAWEP students in the village. The students shared their RAWEP experiences and host farmers expressed their views on the programme. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal, addressed the gathering and informed that RAWEP programme is a unique programme wherein both students and farmers get a chance to update themselves in agriculture and allied sectors and villagers should make use of the programme effectively by involving the students. Dr. E. Rambabu SMS (Horticulture), explained about importance of horticulture crops in the district, IPM Practices to be followed by chilli farmers for control of viral diseases. Sri.M.Laxmi Narayana, DAO, Mahabubabad opined that students should utilize this RAWEP Programme for the knowledge improvement, Dr. Balaram, Associate Dean, Agricultural college, Warangal congratulated the students for their effort on successfully organizing Rythusadassus and agricultural exhibition at bodugonda village and each village students should identify one specific Problem of village and try to give solution to that problem. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal appreciated for different models exhibited by the RAWEP students. While addressing the gathering, he requested the farmers to adopt the integrated farming for human health and sustainable income to the farmers. He also pointed out that RAWEP is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the rural society. KVK, Malyal scientists – Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, & Dr. E. Rambabu, Dr. R. Ramesh, Assistant Professor (Crop Physiology) and Dr. M. MadhuSudhan Reddy (Plant Breeding) from Agricultural College, Aswaraopeta, Dr.S.Bharghavi, Assistant Professor (Crop Physiology), Dr. M.Manasa, Assistant Professor (Agriculture microbiology), Dr.B.Raju (soil science) from Agricultural College, Warangal, 310 farmers visited the stalls and attended the Sadassu.
