Red Ribbon Club activities Orientation Programme at College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar on 19-03-2022

First Annual Orientation Meet: Orientation session of RRC coordinators, Patron Officers of RRC at Universities / colleges Telangana State AIDS Control Society (TSACS), Dept. of Health, Medical & Family Welfare, Government of Telangana, Hyderabad in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS), Higher Education Department Government of Telangana, Hyderabad is organizing RRC Awareness Programmes in 770 RRC Colleges and at 21University Level Seminars and Competitions on: Youth and Prevention of HIV/AIDS in all the Districts (erstwhile) of Telangana State for creating health awareness among youth to cover the youth at risk to HIV both in campuses as well as in the community. As a part of this programme, first annual orientation meet was conducted at College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar on 19-03-2022 in College Auditorium. Orientation session to college students who are also NSS volunteers was organized by the NSS unit with the support of Mr. R. Sharma, Pharmacist, University Health Centre who is also associated with various NGOs involved in this programme since last four years. Mr. Sharma created awareness about HIV/AIDS, its causes, implications, societal relevance and stigmas associated with the disease among the students who in turn can acts as volunteers in spreading the message and creating awareness on the subject. The programme was graced by Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean and NSS Programme Officers. After the orientation session, a rally on Red Ribbon Club activities was conducted by the volunteers in the college campus. This was followed by poster making competition to create visual awareness on the subject. Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, NSS Programme officers, pharmacist from University Health Centre and NSS volunteers participated in this programme.
