Roundtable Conference on “Alternate crops to Rice & Crop diversification in Telangana State” at University Auditorium, PJTSAU, Hyderabad on 01-05-2020

Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Department of Agriculture, Government of Telangana has jointly organized the Roundtable conference on “Alternate crops to Rice & Crop diversification in Telangana State”. The conference was held under the chairmanship of Sri. S. Niranjan Reddy, Minister for Agriculture. The conference held at University Auditorium, Rajendranagar. Sri Gangula Kamalakar, Minister for Civil Supplies, Sri. B.Vinodkumar, Vice Chairman, Telangana State Planning Commision, Sri Palla Rajeswar Reddy, Chairman, Raithusamanvaya Samithi, Sri. Kondabala Koteswarrao, Chairman, Telangana State Seed Development Corporation, Dr Janardhan Reddy, Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Dr. V. Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU were participated in the conference and spoke on the occasion. Several scientists from PJTSAU, officers from agriculture department, Seed Department Corporation, Horticulture, Indian Institute of Millets Research and non-government organization representatives and others were participated in the discussions on how to make agriculture more profitable to Telangana farmers and also gave suggestions to introduce new cropping systems alternative to rice.
