Rythu Nestham Video conferencing with Farmers episode 11 held on 11.06.2024

Rythu Nestam live programme conducted at Electronic Wing Studio, PJTSAU, Hyderabad on 11-6-2024 from 9 AM – 10.50 AM with scientists from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and officials from department of agriculture along with farmers from 110 Rythu Vedika’s of Telangana. The Ryhtu Nestam live programme was presided over by Dr,B.Gopi IAS Director of Agriculture and Sri Thummala Nageswar Rao Garu Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture attended as the chief guest of the programme urged the farmers to venture in to organic farming practices, thus exploring the avenues of worldwide export. A video on building awareness in quality seed selection and purchase was played followed by a success story of HDPS Cotton farming. Interaction session was arranged with cotton expert Dr.Y.Prasanth Scientist [Pl. Breeding] RARS Warangal who clarified the farmers queries after a brief presentation, then Sri.V.Shankar a progressive farmer from Asifabad district practicing HDPS cotton cultivation gave reflections on the theme. Padmasri awardees in the field of Agriculture Dr.Y.Venkateswar Rao, Founder Rythu Nestham Foundation and Sri Ch.Venkata Reddy innovative farmer, special invitees of the programme shared their indepth experiences on Organic farming. The programme was attended by Dr.Raghu Rami Reddy, Director of Research PJTSAU, District Collectors and Dr.M.Sreenivasulu, Coordinator, Scientists of Electronic Wing , Sri Singa Reddy DDA along with 7827 farmers and Department Officials form Agriculture and allied sectors at 110 Rythu Vedikas across the state.
