Rythu Nestam Live video conferencing 21st episode was conducted live from Electronic Wing Studio of PJTSAU on 20.08.2024 from 10.00AM – 12.00 AM. The program commenced with an insightful presentation by Sri Sayyad Basha, a farmer from Nalgonda District and recipient of the PJTSAU Best Farmer Award, who shared his success story on implementing cost-effective and labor-efficient direct seeded rice technology Dr. N. Lingaiah, Senior Scientist (Plant Breeding) at the Agricultural Research Station, Kampasagar, then led a thought-provoking and interactive session on "Effective Kharif Rice Crop Management Strategies", sharing expert insights and prompting lively discussions on modern farming practices." and Dr. G. Veeranna, Principal Scientist (Cotton) at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) in Warangal, subsequently presented a comprehensive overview on "Optimal Kharif Cotton Management Practices", offering expert guidance on cultivating cotton crops during the Kharif season." The session concluded with a Q&A session, where the assembled farmers from different rythu vedikas posed questions and received insightful clarifications and expert advice from the esteemed panel of scientists, including Dr. N. Lingaiah and Dr. G. Veeranna, addressing their specific concerns and doubts on Kharif crop management. The program saw the participation of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. M. Raghunandan Rao, Secretary (Agriculture) and Vice Chancellor of PJTSAU, B. Gopi, Director of Agriculture, Telangana, and Dr. M. Sreenivasulu, Coordinator of the Electronic Wing, along with their teams from PJTSAU. Sri B. Singareddy, DDA (Extension, Rythu Vedikas), and his team from the Department of Agriculture also joined the event, which was held via video conference, reaching a vast audience of 28,396 farmers from 566 Rythu Vedikas across the state.
