Rythu Nestam Live video conferencing 32nd episode was conducted live from Electronic Wing Studio of PJTAU on 12.11.2024 from 10.00 AM – 11.30 AM. The program started with the presentation of Sri. N.Vijay, CEO, Ag. Hub, PJTAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. He has introduced about Ag. Hub and its expansion in three zones of the state. Three Rural innovation spokes were started at Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Jagtial (Northern Telangana Zone). Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Warangal (Central Telangana Zone). and Agricultural Research Station(ARS), Tandur (Southern Telangana Zone). He also mentioned that more than 125 startups developed from this Ag. Hub and Agritech. Market Access Technology (AGMAT). Similarly, he has mentioned about the services of the Ag, Hub and it’s role in nurturing the ideas to startup generation. Also he explained about the various kind of startups working in the line of crop protection, production, post harvest technology, processing, value addition, farm machinery and marketing etc. Further he focused on the development of futuristic startups with the active involvement of scientific fraternity and farmers by understanding contemporary changes in agriculture. In this session a emerged entrepreneur from Ag.Hub, PJTAU. Smt. Reenee Reddy, Co-CEO, Delta Things – Ankura shared her experiences and explained about i- topper which is an equipment to control different pests at different wave lengths emitted by light with the help of solar energy. Also she highlighted the advantages of i- topper which helps to avoid the indiscriminate use of pesticides and getting healthy crop produce and maintaining sustainable soil health as well as controlling environmental pollution. This programme concluded with discussion among scientists and farmers from different Rythu vedikas across the state on questions raised by the farmers. The programme was attended by Dr. M. Sreenivasulu, Coordinator of the Electronic Wing, along with his team from PJTAU and Officials from Directorate of Agriculture and Department of Agriculture and about 12000 farmers from 566 Rythu Vedikas across the state.
