Rythu Nestham Live Programme [Episode-5] - Conducted on “How to increase soil organic Carbon on 16-4-2024

Rythu Nestam live programme conducted Online by Electronic Wing , PJTSAU, Hyderabad in collaboration with State Department of Agriculture on 16.04.2024 at 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon. Dr R.Uma Reddy Associate Director of Research RARS Warangal, resource person of the episode -5, presented on Importance of Organic Carbon – How to enhance Soil C through sequestration in to the soil by following various management practices. later in the session Sri Srinivas JDA [Agricultural Marketing] briefed about Paddy procurement procedures. Two progressive farmers namely Sri. Hari Krishna from Badradri Kothagudem and Ch.Devender Reddy from Hanmakonda shared their experiences of effective crop residue management though incorporation into soil and its positive impact on crop yields. Later Dr R.Uma Reddy clarified the farmers queries from different Rythu Vedikas of Telangana. Videos depicting effective crop residue management were telecasted. The Ryhtu Nestam live programme was attended by Coordinator and Head, Electronic Wing Dr.M.Sreenivasulu, Scientists of Electronic Wing, Addl.Director Sri.Vijay Kumar, DDA, Sri.Singa Reddy, Rythu Nestham Magazine editor Sri. Venkateshwara Rao along with 4700 farmers and Department Officials form Agriculture and allied sectors at 110 Rythu Vedikas across the state.
