Rythu Sadassu at KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial has organized ‘RYTHU SADASSU’ to create awareness among the farming community on new inovative technologies in Agriculture and Allied sectors under the Rural Agricultural Work Experience Program (RAWEP) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli with the farmers of Mancherial and Kumrumbheem Asifabad (Aspirational district) on 28th January, 2021. Dr. Jaganmohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, R.A.R.S., Polasa, Jagtial and Smt. Shyamala Devi, R.D.O, Bellampalli were attended as chief guest and as guest of honor respectively for this programme. Initially chief guest inguarated the Exhibition stalls arranged by RAWEP students on Micro irrigation, Rain water harvesting methods, mechanization in paddy and other demos, Live fish sale stall of KVK, Bellampalli and the other Agro based companies. total of 17 students were allotted to KVK, Bellampalli under RAWEP from different colleges, The guests and other district officials visited the stalls arranged by students and also interacted with the RAWEP students. Dr. Jaganmohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, R.A.R.S., Polasa, Jagtial as addressed the farmers on importance of adoption of new innovative technologies in agriculture and allied sectors improve the yields as well as their living standards and also suggested that the climatic conditions of both the districts (Kumrumbheem Asifabad and Mancherial) suitable for organic farming by making use of all available resources efficiently and reduce the usage of chemical fertilizers. He also suggested that the farmers should focus on mechanization, cultivation of pulses and oilseeds in their cropping pattern to increase the diversity as well as stability in income. Smt. Shyamala Devi, R.D.O., Bellampalli in her address advised the farmers to focus on mixed cropping system along with poultry, goatery, dairy and fisheries etc., to increase the income and livelihood capacity of the farmers.Dr. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, addressed the farmers to take the advise of scientists to minimise the cost of cultivation and addressed the farmers on importance of soil tests and suggested the farmers to use fertilizers based on soil test results.Dr. Padmaja, Scientist, RARS, Jagityal attended as resource person and addressed the farmers regarding the scope and importance of oilseed (sesame) cultivation in the mancherial and KB Aasfibad districts. In this program District officials, Sri. Srinivas Rao, DAO, KB Asifabad, Sri. Yugandhar, DHSO, Mancherial, Smt. Surekha, A.D.A., Bellamapalli, KVK Scientists Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, Sri. A. Nagraju, Dr. I. Thirupathi, Dr. B. Sathish, Shri. Govinda Chari, Gromore Marketing Manager, UPL staff, Sirpur paper mill staff, G.Srinivas, MPP, Bellamapalli, Sarpanch and other public representatives from various villages of oth districts and 300 number of farmers were participated .
