Rythu Sadassu cum agriculture exhibition conducted at Bayyaram village on 28.05.2022 by DAATTC, Tornala along with College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar RAWEP students

As per the instructions of University, the RAWEP-2021-22 batch students studying final year B.Sc (Ag), College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad attached to DAATTC, Tornala, Siddipet district. As a part of RAWE Programme students conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition at Bayyaram (V), Gajwel (M), Siddipet District in collaboration with DAATTC, Tornala on 28.05.2022. Dr. K. Suresh, AD representative, CA, Rajendranagar, Sri. Shiva Prasad, District Agriculture Officer, Sri. Babu Naik, ADA (Gajwel division) are the chief guests of the programme. DAO inaugurated the Exhibition stall and visited the models prepared by the students and appreciated their efforts. Students displayed and explained the concepts, themes in brief along with model and supporting display chart. The students arranged about 7 stalls as a part of the Agriculture exhibition which includes 14 models on crop diversification after rice and cotton, solar usage in agriculture, different rice establishment methods (dry DSR, Wet DSR and drum seeding), different composing methods, intercropping practices, green house and polyhouse models, HDPS cotton system, Integrated farming system, ICM in different crops, Seed treatment and poison bait, rain water harvesting and farm ponds, raising of green manure and green leafy manures, soil sampling method, summer ploughing importance, biofertlizer usage in agriculture and crop residue management in agricultural crops. Around 250 number of farmers from different villages have utilized the opportunity and visited the exhibition models. After the exhibition, Sri. J. Vijay, Coordinator welcomed the guests on to the Dais and programme started by lightening of lamp followed by University Song. Later he explained about the green manuring and PSB importance. Dr. Suresh, AD representative explained about the aim and importance of RAWEP and brief activities done by RAWEP students to the dignitaries, officials and farmers. Students from different villages shared their experience about the RAWEP and few host farmers expressed that the programme is very helpful to the villages also as this increases the practical knowledge and continuous field visits. Sri. Shiva Prasad, DAO explained about the department activities, quality seed, green manuring, PSB application and appreciated the efforts of students and DAATTC for organizing Rythu sadassu. Further, Dr. Ch. Pallavi explained about the installation and usage of crop darpan app- a diagnostic tool to the farmers and RAWEP students and the programme. Later, Sarpanch Srinivas Reddy thanked DAATTC, Tornala to select their village for RAWEP students activities and organize the meeting in their village for the benefit of the villagers. In the programme, Nagaraju, MAO-Gajwel, Ramani, MAO-Wargal, RSS coordinator Srinivas Reddy were also present.
