Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition at Kamareddy Gudem Village on 23-10-2019, organised by KVK, Kampasangar

As per the instructions of University, the RAWEP-2019 batch students studying final year B.Sc (Ag), College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad attached to KVK, Kampasagar.As a part of RAWE Programme students conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition at Kamareddy Gudem (V), Tripuraram (M), Nalgonda District with the support of KVK, Kampasagar on 23.10.2019. Dr.M.A.Aariff Khan, Programme Co-Ordinator, KVK and Sri.Jagadheeshwar Reddy, Assistant Director of Agriculture as Guest of Honour inaugurated the Exhibition stall and inspected the models and exhibits displayed by the students village wise. Students displayed and explained the concepts, themes in brief on formation of Alleyways, Drum Seeder Technology in Rice, Rice cum Fish culture, Integrated Farming System (IFS), Integrated Pest Management in cotton, Organic farming Agro Forestry systems, Solar irrigation system, vegetables cultivation under pandal system, poly house cultivation, types of Mulching, locally made sticky traps and light traps for control of sucking pests and other lepidopteron pests, protective clothing while spraying, water conservation methods and importance of millets etc. S.Pallavi, SMS (Extension) welcomed the guests on the Dias and requested to participate followed by lightening of lamp and University song. Later explained the objective of RAWE Programme, briefed the activities done by the students, explained the importance of RAWE programme and Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition organized by RAWEP students to the farmers. Dr.M.A.Aariff Khan explained the activities performed by the students in different villages, usefulness of practical study of different crop cultivation aspects at field level and congratulated the students for exhibiting the models suitable to local farmers. Students from different villages and their host farmers shared their experiences and feedback. Farmers appreciated the University for conducting RAWE Programme as it is helpful for the students in building their practical knowledge and building contacts between farmers and KVK, Scientists and other line department officials through different awareness programmes. The Chief Guest of the programme Sri.Jagadheeshwar Reddy Garu, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Halia Division, Nalgonda District visited the Exhibition stalls and interacted with the students about the importance of exhibits and models useful to the farmers and also appreciated the efforts put forth by the RAWEP students. KVK Scientists Dr.T.Bharath, SMS (Crop Production), T.Hima Bindhu, SMS (Plant Protection), G.Krishna Veni (Home Science), J.Jeshwanthi (Fisheries), KVK Staff, RAWEP students and farmers from different villages participated in the Programme. Finally the Rythu Sadassu was concluded by RAWE students by vote of thanks followed by National Anthem to everyone involved for the success of the programme.
