Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring” under DAPSC (SC SP Project), 2023-24 by KVK, Malyal 06-02-2024

KVK, Malyal organized 4 days Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring” from 6th to 9thFebruary, 2024 at Rythuvedika, Nanchari Madhur under DAPSC (SC SP), 2023-24. The training started with inaugural session on 06-2-2024 Dr.N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) & Co-PI of DAPSC (SCSP) explained about the objectives of this project, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, emphasized on self-employment opportunities for women to economic empowerment, Smt .M. Jamuna, AEO, Nanchari Madhur cluster, explained about departmental activities and schemes Smt. M. V. Srujana, Tutior, acted as resource person for the training, Participated inaugural session later she has taken theory and practical sessions on basic tailoring tips, cloth cutting, blouse stitching, dress stitching, frocks for kids, On 3rd day (08-2-2024) exposure visit was conducted with the trainees to Geethanjali Boutique, Embroidery at Mylaram & Rama Maggam Works at Thorrur. Were they learned about basic tips and practically shown embroidering and maggam work designing. In the valedictory session, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, emphasized on utilization of opportunities in other agencies in the district for empowerment of women. Sri M. Sanjeev, APD, DRDA, Thorrur participated addressed the gathering about DRDA activities and opportunities for SHG, Skill training programmes & financial support available at DRDA & banks for the development of women entrepreneurship, Later, 'participation certificates' were distributed to the trainees. Smt. A. Jamuna, AEO, Nanchari Madhur Cluster and 32 SC women from the SC SP adopted village, Nanchari Madhur attended the skill training programme.
