Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring” under TSP, 2023-24 by KVK, Malyal : from 19th to 22nd Dec, 2023

KVK, Malyal organized 4 days Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring” from 19th to 22nd December, 2023 at Rythuvedika, Gudur under Tribal Sub Plan, 2023-24. The training started with inaugural session on 19-12-2023 and Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Hort.) & Co-PI of TSP explained about the objectives of this project and suggested to take up self employment in agriculture and allied sectors. Smt. G. Vinoda, VAS Tailoring and Matching Centre, Gudur, acted as resource person for the training. She has taken theory and practical sessions on blouse stitching, dress stitching, frocks for kids, basic tips in tailoring. On 3rd day (21-12-2023) exposure visit was conducted with the trainees to Sairam Boutique, Embroidery & Maggam Works, Mahabubabad where Smt. Ch. Swapna acted as resource person and explained about basic tips and practically shown embroidering and maggam work design. In the valedictory session, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, emphasized on self employment of women for economic empowerment. Sri M. Laximinarayana, DAO, Mahabubabad participated as Chief Guest and addressed the gathering. Sri D. Bansilal, Senior Branch Manager, UBI, Gudur, participated in the programme and explained about schemes, mudra loans, financial support available at banks for the development of women entrepreneurship. Later, 'participation certificates' were distributed to the trainees. Sri R. Ravinder, APM, IKP-DRDA, Gudur, Smt G. Vyjayanthi, AEO, Gudur cluster, Smt. K. Kalyani, AEO, Ootla, Chakruthanda Cluster and 25 no. of ST women from 4 TSP adopted villages (Chakru Thanda, Ootla of Gudur Mandal & Eshwaragudem, Doravarivempalli of Kothaguda Mandal) attended the training.
