State Level Breeder Seed production and Minikits one day workshop At university auditorium, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar on 28-04-2023

Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), has organized a State Level Breeder Seed production and Minikits one day workshop on Friday at the University Auditorium in Rajendranagar. Dr S Sudheer Kumar, Registrar PJTSAU, has attended as Chief Guest for the inaugural Program. While speaking at the workshop Dr Sudheer Kumar has emphasized the need of the cultivation of HDPS (high density planting system) in cotton crop and also carry out the research programs for development of the suitable varieties for HDPS cotton. He further informed that, there is dire need for crop diversification in across different agro climatic zones in the state.Dr M.Venkata Ramana, Director of Research, PJTSAU, has gave the welcome address and he spoke on the production of breeder seed in the year 2022-23. He said that, university has produced the 2669 quintals of breeder seed and 15648quintals of quality seed in various crops. Dr Keshavulu, Managing Director, TSSDC, Dr Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Executive Director, Seed Men Association, Dr Jaganmohan Rao, Director Seeds, PJTSAU were also spoke at the workshop.Several Officers from Department of Agriculture, Principal Scientists of various crops, Seed companies’ representatives, ADRs of 3 Zones, National Seed Certification officials were present in the workshop.
