State Level Technical Programme of Extension Units of PJTSAU begins At University Auditorium, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar on 03-05-2023

The State Level Technical Program (SLTP) of Extension units of Professor Jayashanakar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) has begins on 03-05-2023, at the Seminar Hall – I , University, Auditorium, Rajendranagar. Dr S Sudheer Kumar, Registrar, PJTSAU, has attended as chief guest for the inaugural program and spoke on the occasion. While speaking at the meeting Dr Sudheer Kumar, has advised the extension scientists to educate the farmers about the drones’ usage in agricultural operations. He gave the call to strive hard to increase the production & productivity in different crops and ensure higher income to the farmers. Due to climate changes, we have to advance the Kharif and Rabi crops at least 15days to overcome the damages from natural calamities or dry weather conditions. And he said, there is a need to encourage crop diversification for alternate to paddy cultivation, paddy area has to be reduced by encouraging the cultivation of red gram, cotton & other pulses crops. Further, He said that, there is a tremendous requirement of implementing the large scale farm mechanization for reducing the cost of cultivation in various crops in the state.Dr V Sudharani, Director of Extension PJTSAU, had presented the detailed technical report on extension activities of various extension units of PJTSAU. Dr M Venkat Ramana, Director of Research, PJTSAU has also spoke on the occasion and he suggested to adopt the digital extension services to reach the farmers.SLTP of extension units will be continued till 5th May 2023. All the scientists of Krishi Vignana Kendras (KVKs), District Agricultural Advisory and Transfer of Technology Centers (DAATTCs), Agricultural Information and Communication Center & Press, Electronic Wing, Extension Education Institute (EEI) are participating in this 3day program.
