Training programme on technologies on cultivation aspects of speciality corns and distribution of inputs under ST Sub Plan of AICRP on Maize at ARS, Karimnagar on 16-03-2022

Organized farmers’ training programme on technologies on cultivation aspects of speciality corns and distribution of inputs under ST Sub Plan of AICRP on Maize at Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar on 16-03-2022. Dr. D.Sravani Scientist (Pl.Br.) invited the dignitaries on to the dias and briefed the main motto behind the distribution of inputs under ST Plan sponsored by the AICRP on Maize. Dr.G.Manjulatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) and Head addressed the farmers about the released hybrids and recent technologies developed from the research station and sensitized the farmers to implement recent technologies in their cultivation aspects. The District Agricultural Officer, Karimnagar, Sri Sridhar informed the farmers to go for crop diversification including millets rather than going for paddy alone. Tarpaulin and 10 kgs of Karimnagar Makka-1 maize seed released from the research station has been distributed to each of around 200 farmers belonging to ST under the ST SubPlan of AICRP on maize. The Scientists from the research station, Dr.D.Sravani Scientist (Pl.Br.) Incharge (AICRP on Maize), Senior Scientist Dr.A.VijayaBhaskar, Dr.G.Usharani, Scientist (Pl.Br.), DAATTC Cordinator, Sri K.Shekar, Dr.P.Madhukar Scientist (Agro.) and Dr.K.Madan Mohan Reddy Scientist (ToT) along with 400 ST farmers have particicpated in the programme.
