Telanganaku Haritha Haram Programme at Agricultural College, Jagtial on 03-08-2021

NSS Units of Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial has performed Telangana Ku Harithaharam on 03.08.2021. Dr.P.Jaganmohan rao, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Jagtial and Dr. S. Narender Reddy, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial have attended the programme. Dr.P.Jaganmohan Rao in his address said that it is essential to maintain the greenery on the earth for maintaining the ecological balance of nature and we should take participatory actions for maintaining ecological balance through Haritha Haram programme. Associate Dean Dr.S.Narender Reddy emphasized the importance of Haritha Haram programme in the present day context of indiscriminate cutting of trees, severe deforestation in the name of urbanization and explained about the need of afforestation to answer the challenges of climate change and global warming. Different varieties of saplings were planted around the campus play ground. Dr.O. Sampath, Officer In-charge Student Activities and NSS Programme Officers, Mr.A.Umarajashekhar, Dr.G.Satyanarayana Reddy and Dr.D.Karthik and other teaching and non-teaching staff and students have participated in the programme.
