Training Program on recommended crops for rabi season and its management practices was conducted by Village Adoption Programme team of scientists, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar in the Adopted village, Panchayat office Guduru, on 15-10-2022. In rabi season pulse crops like green gram and black gram are suggested to be sown during November to first fortnight of December and also recommended groundnut and safflower among oilseed crops and explained in detail about the management practices like recommend seed rate, sowing time, suitable soils and nutrient management. Mandal Agricultural Officer Sri. Gopal attended the training programme and has explained that Telangana state government is supplying safflower seed on free of cost to the interested farmers of Gudur village. Later the adopted village team has conducted field visits in demonstration plots of farmers in the Gudur village The training programme was conducted under the guidance of VAP Chairman and the Associate Dean Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Convenor Dr. T. Ramesh, Sr. Professor and Head, Crop Physiology, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Adopted village team members Dr Y. Samatha Parameshwari, Department of Agronomy, Dr. K. Aruna, Department of Agricultural Extension, Dr. I Shakuntala Devi, Agricultural Economics MAO Gopal of Agriculture department along with adopted village members. Other participants included ward members, Panchayat Secretary and about 30 farmers.
