One day Training Programme on Agroforestry systems and Input distribution under SC Sub plan at Motakondur village, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on 01.07.2024

One day training programme on “Agroforestry systems” was organized by AICRP on Agroforestry, PJTSAU, Hyderabad and also distributed inputs viz., planting material (Sandalwood, Casuarina, Bamboo and fruit crops), secatures, tarpaulins and loaping shears to SC farmers of Motakondur, Aregudem, Chada and Ammanabole villages. The programme was attended by Dr. B. Anil Kumar, Principal Scientist and Co-ordinator DAATTC centre, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District, Dr. T. Chaitanya, Scientist (Soil Science), AICRP on Agroforestry, Smt S. Sujatha, MAO, Motakondur, Sri. B. Sandhya, Sri. B. Ramesh, Sri. D. Suresh AEOs, P. Anji Reddy, MPTC and 50 no of farmers from different villages of Motakondur mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District. Dr. T. Chaitanya explained silvicultural practices for profitable production of Sandalwood and Bamboo and also about the Importance of Agroforestry systems in the changing climatic scenario, Dr. B. Anil Kumar explained Pest and disease management in Kharif crops and Smt S. Sujatha, MAO highlighted the importance of tree plantation. After interaction with farmers, inputs were distributed to SC farmers under SC Subplan program.
