Reginal Agricultural Research Station, Polasa, Jagtial organized training programme on alternate crops to rice in yasangi, 2021-22 at adopted village, Vedurthy.
The training programme was started with the brief introduction of importance of crop diversification by D.A. Rajini Devi, in-charge of adopted village programme, RARS, Polasa, Jagtial and she explained about the cost of cultivation and net returns of different crops.
Dr. P. Revathi, Scientist (Agronomy) explained about the cultivation practices and cut off dates for sowing of different alternate crops to rice in Yasangi, 2021-22.
Later information material on “Alternate crops to Rice in Yasangi, 2021-22” released by PJTSAU was distributed to the farmers.
As a part of this programme, mustard seed (NRCHB 101) was distributed to the farmers for Front Line Demonstration (FLD).
In this programme, D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics), Dr. P. Revathi, Scientist (Agronomy), Raheem, Agricultural Extension Officer, Praveen Goud, Sarpanch, Veldurthy and 20 farmers participated.
