Training Programme on Azolla Production and Benefits at Agricultural College,Jagtial on 12-11-2020

Agricultural College, Jagtial has conducted a training programme on “Azolla Production and its Benefits” at the adopted village Gullapet, Jagtial mandal on 12.11.2020. Dr. T. Sravan Kumar, Assistant Professor has given the detailed information about the programme. Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, in his address said that college is focusing on field level activities through village adoption programme with an aim to spread the technologies to the farmers. He also gave awareness on the role of bio-fertilizers in getting the quality yields. He also suggested the farmers to take utmost care in following the practices at the field level. Sri. J. Thirupathi, Sarpanch, Gullapeta village in his address shared his experience with college and RARS and various technologies given by the scientists at the field level. He also thanked the Agricultural College for adopting Gullapeta village and for services provided to them. Dr. A. Krishna Chaitanya, Assistant Professor has given awareness on the Azolla production, cultivation process and benefits for the farmers. He also demonstrated the cultivation process of Azolla. He further suggested to maintain the culture for getting effective benefits. Dr. Y. Archana Karuni, Dr. G. Sathyanarayana Reddy, Dr. T. Yella Goud, Dr. P. Arun Kumar, Assistant Professors, Mr. Gopi Kishore, Mr. Venkatesh, PG Students along with 20 farmers have participated in the training programme.
